MuMu-Land

Sometimes I make something other than spoons.
MuMu-Land is an exclusive jewelry collection that consists of a series of unique and stylish shapes in silver and gold, which together constitute an imaginative universe that offers much more than just jewelry.
MuMu-Land has many recognizable references to our lives, and the name was inspired by ‘Mu’ or ‘Lemuria’ which according to the myths are a missing civilization in which people lived in peace with each other.
My idea behind the creation of MuMu-Land was to examine how little to be added to a simple geometric shape so that it becomes recognizable and have character. A snout and a pair of ears is enough for us to recognize rabbit, dog, cat or any other lovable animals that the jewelry collection consists of. MuMu-Land is for both children and adults and the figures are made in many different designs and sizes. At the moment there are ten different characters but the universe expands and entirely new products are soon to come.
The exclusive jewelry in MuMu-Land series is manufactured in Denmark and is stamped with the applicable rules and of course contains no allergenic metals. "The stylish and thoughtful design, and in particular the quality of the finished product has always been the most important thing for me. The pieces are cast in pure sterling silver and 18 carat gold and finally processed by hand. Some designs are made only in limited editions, some even only in one copy, so you must check the website regularly.

Long Spoons

The world of the new millennium is on 'fast forward'. The multi media culture offers a huge number of entertainment possibilities, an extreme amount of visual influence and a six-lane information highway and owing to a highly developed mobile technology and fast Internet access, everybody is 'online' and 'in touch' wherever they go. As an intelligible reaction towards this bombardment of information and the increasing demand of personal availability, people tend to turn their homes into safe shelters; a tendency recognised as 'cocooning'. Time to oneself has become a luxury, and soft values such as intimacy, veracity and authenticity is highly esteemed within the domestic space.
In the field of foods and drinks, I find that cocooning is recognised in the increasing interest in comfort foods and drinks. One of the most well known is the hot drink 'Café Latte', a milk based coffee drink, but also 'chai latte', 'frappuchino' and various fruit smoothies are popular comfort drinks. Common to these drinks is that they, due to their size, often are served in tall glasses where the long spoon comes in handy. The spoon is mainly used for stirring, but also for enjoying the milk froth or even just as a decorative accessory. This tendency of enjoying comfort drinks within the domestic environment, alone or most likely with a partner or close friend, was the rationale for designing a long silver spoon.

Nomad

For those of you who are a little confused about my whereabouts, I can explain that I have once again moved my hammers and all my other heavy tools to a new workshop. This time I had to say goodbye to the lovely ladies at Iron Inc. because I am a really noisy silversmith. And for the time being I can be found among other noisy silversmiths in the workshop Okker Otte at Kastelsvej 27, Østerbro.
All this moving around might seem very confusing to you, but I promise to keep you posted whenever I move on to another campsite.
